Suzanne Gagné-Bregman, M.A. completed her Masters in Theology at the Graduate Theological Union, Berkeley California, in affiliation with the Jesuit School of Theology. Her professional and personal faith journey, shaped by Ignatian spirituality, has taken her on a variety of paths. She worked in the corporate sector, served as continuing education director for the Catholic schools of the Graduate Theological Union, and served for years as a lay ecclesial minister. A liturgist, preacher, and more by vocation and an artist by temperament, she loves putting ritual, symbol and music at the service of prayer and contemplation. After years of service in parish ministry, she now brings her diverse gifts and skills to the service of families preparing funerals for their loved ones. She has been affiliated with discerning Deacons since its inception.
Christy Hicks Aydt (she/her/hers) is the Regional Director for the Ignatian Volunteer Corps, St. Louis where she lives with her husband and family. She is a spiritual director, preacher, and prayer companion for the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. Christy has worked in campus ministry, hospital chaplaincy,publishing, and is a co-convener for the Catholic Women’s Preaching Circle.

Luke Hansen (he/him), a native of Wisconsin, is a campus minister and religious studies teacher at St. Ignatius College Preparatory in San Francisco. Luke is excited to return to Discern, Dream, Scheme after being part of the first two workshops in 2020. In addition to co-founding Discerning Deacons, Luke has worked as a journalist and spiritual director, and in prison ministry and Catholic education. This summer, Luke is savoring quality time with his son Jonah (eight months old), who brings joy to everyone he encounters!
